Professional Experience:
Gayheart has 30 years of experience in Journalism, Public Affairs, Strategy Development, Advocacy, CSR, Project Communications and Media Relations. He capped a 12-year mainstream media work with an appointment to the Board of Directors of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in 2009. He worked variously with the Daily Graphic, Ghanaian Times, GTV and was a regular participant on programmes on Joy FM, Radio Gold, Sunshine Radio, Vibe FM, Groove FM, Radio Universe among others,

Gayheart later joined Unilever Ghana as PR Manager before heading to Barclays Bank as Communications Manager. He subsequently joined Tullow Oil as Communications Manager and subsequently became Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. Three years on, Gayheart was appointed External Affairs and Communications Manager at the Group Head Office of Tullow in London, where he worked for almost two years.

He joined Vodafone in March, 2014 as Director of External Affairs and has responsibility for Regulatory and Government Relations, Business Risk and Compliance, Corporate Security, Corporate Communications, Sustainability and CSR.

• I chaired the Strategy Sub-committee of the Board, during which I facilitated a strategy session for GBC, a process which involved Board Members and Senior Management.
