Professional Experience:
From July 2014 to April 2015 I worked as a visiting researcher at the Columbia University Medical Center in New York in a project related to the fabrication of a polymer cell migration assay which allowed me to get expertise in the field of stem cells for dental tissue regeneration. From 2010 to 2012, I worked as post-doctoral fellow at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) in Taiwan and associated with the research on biopolymers and polymer nanocomposites for bone tissue engineering applications. In 2013, I got the opportunity to collaborate as researcher at National Taiwan University (NTU), where I could get some expertise in recombinant DNA technology for cancer research. From 2015 until 2019 I have worked at the Austrian Consulate
General in New York as Consular officer and Office Manager of the Austrian Consul General. This was a great opportunity to get expertise in the organization and coordination of office operations, official events, negotiations, meetings, businesses/administrative issues, and organization of high-level Federal and Local Government Delegations in New York. In July 2018 I started an MBA program in Sustainability Management offered by Sustainability Business School (SUMAS) in Switzerland which I could complete last December 2019.
I have a multidisciplinary background in the field of Nanotechnology, Office operations at Governmental institutions and Sustainability Management. More detailed, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science Engineering. In 2009, I completed my Ph.D. studies in Nanotechnology of
Materials. In December 2019, I completed by MBA studies in Sustainability Management.
Affiliations and Achievements:
During my childhood and career I got knowledge of 7 languages (English, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, French and Japanese) which has transformed my work into a great chance to create and manage relationships with people with very different cultural backgrounds and interests. In addition, I have been an invited peer-reviewer of 17 recognized international journals in my research field of expertise. From 2004 to present, I have participated in 16 international scientific workshops, courses, summer schools and seminaries in Italy, Taiwan, Venezuela and the United States. From 2009 to present, I have written 5 books chapters, 18 publications on peer
reviewed scientific journals and book editorials, and 14 proceedings published in various international conferences, meetings, workshops organized in Europe and South America.
I believe that Life is a continuous Learning & Adaptation process, and working in multidisciplinary fields makes me a more efficient, flexible and innovative person in all professional opportunities I decide to undertake.
