Professional Experience:
A medical doctor from India, I bring more than 16 years’ experience in managing many large-scale projects, demanding creativity, partnership, community engagement, evidence-based advocacy, monitoring and strategic communication.
I have worked as Consultant Medical Epidemiologist during 2001-2004. During 2006-2016, I worked with the World Health Organization India and Sierra Leone to lead public health surveillance as well Disaster Risk Reduction efforts. During 2017-18, I was associated with PATH to accelerate the agenda of Neglected Tropical Disease elimination/control efforts in India.
Currently, I am leading CDC's efforts in Bangladesh to build Public Health Management and Leadership competencies among senior health workforce.
I have proven experience in assessing risks, implementing Disaster Risk Reduction activities and setting early warning system.
I have designed monitoring systems, evaluated large-scale programs, build workforce capacity in risk management and enhanced government stewardship in India, Nepal, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Sierra Leone.
I have led multiple disease outbreaks investigations: Ebola, Polio, VDPVs, Lassa Fever, Cholera, Diarrhea, Diptheria, Pertussis and Measles. I have worked in post-disaster settings such as floods, earthquake and Ebola, and possess strong understanding of Incident Management System.
I am adept in writing high-quality reports, strategic documents, guidelines and SOPs.
I am an advocate for evidence-based strategic planning and human resource capacity building for sustainable health system development.
