Professional Experience:
Since 2005, I have been working mostly as a Research Assistant in different projects under both NGOs, university and agencies under government-funded by different funding agencies. I was involved in search projects like Internally Displaced People mainly focused on Women due to development activity funded by MRG, Kolkata, socio-economic status of women, the IEC-Posters during of women’s movement by Zubaan, research on anaemia of women tea- pluckers and the result of double fortified salt funded by MI-Canada, in the other side I have become involved in larger section of society not only confined in gender issues but for the deprived people live in rural India when I have become the Assistant District Coordinator(M&E) in a project funded by World Bank(from 6th December,2010 to till date). It’s aim is to strengthen the Gram Panchayats as an institution which can become not only decentralized local government but can become the change agent of rural India and to help people to attain economic development and social justice at large. Thus my arena of work has covered the research activities including surveys, fieldwork, community mobilization, organizing the different programme, out-reach work and at the same time documentation, monitoring, both primary and secondary data collection and analysis, reporting within the stipulated timeframe and it has expanded to pure administrative jobs, to make coordination with mainstream government administration from Gram Panchayat level to district level with the district project cell, monitoring the progress of the project implementation in terms of both physical and financial at the district level, working in a tight schedule, attaining target set by the project mandate at the district level. Generally, as an assistant district coordinator and as a co-strategist at the district level, it is my duty to assist the district Coordinator to conduct the project on the right path from all aspects. I have worked as a District Coordinator from time to time as the post of District Coordinator is vacant and have to work independently and as a key person at the district level. I have to supervise and to lead district cell to implement the project and to achieve its goal. It is therefore regardless to mention that the financial matters as a part of the operation cost of the district coordination unit have also come under the ambit of my work.
