Professional Experience: |
I have worked with government and non- government organisations including for the Western Australian State Government, the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), and several non-government agencies. I lived and worked in South Africa for over 12 years, where I spent 9 years working for AusAID as a senior program manager covering program areas such as capacity building for South African government agencies, HIV & AIDS, food security, water and sanitation, and gender violence. I also oversaw projects in other African countries where Australia was involved in development assistance such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, and Kenya.Since returning to Western Australia I have worked for two non-government agencies in the field of refugee re-settlement, designing and managing programs to support positive settlement outcomes for individuals, families and communities. This has included programs in the areas of youth, children, gender violence, families, and to provide pathways into rehabilitation for torture and trauma. I have considerable experience in writing tenders and other funding proposals as well as managing the implementation, monitoring and evaluation and reporting processes.
