My working life ever since I graduated from the London School of Economics 25 years back has been a series of innovations. In the order of milestones following are the series of innovations I have either been a part of or I have directly led: 1. Citibank: part of the credit cards marketing launch team which introduced credit cards first time in Pakistan. (1997)2. Trakker: set up from scratch and launched Pakistan's first satellite tracking company. (2000) 3. Set up a modernized media management cell for the Pakistan Presidency. (2003) 4. Elected to parliament twice (2008 and 2013) and achieved being in Cabinet as Federal Minister (2018).5. Authored historic Acid crime control Legislation in parliament which became a model for rest of parliaments of the world and reduced acid crime significantly especially empowering women since they were the main sufferers from this crime. (2011) I was also the subject of Pakistan’s first Oscar winning documentary ‘Saving face’. I also legislated the setting up of Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services for parliamentarians. 6. Was responsible for historic Flood Commission report of Supreme Court which was a result of my public interest litigation and which has set procedures for flood management which will save lives for years to come. (2011) 7. Expanded BISP as Pakistan's largest social safety net (SSN) making it role model for other social safety nets worldwide empowering 5.7 million women. 8. As a result of the above was awarded the following international awards and recognitions in 2017 for my role in women empowerment, poverty alleviation and democracy: a. UK House of Commons Speakers Inaugural Democracy Award b. French President's Officier de Merite c. Member World Bank Advisory Council on Gender and Development (2017-18) 9. Taught undergraduate courses at SciencesPo Le Havre, and guest lectured at many European Universities and think tanks (January-April 2019) 10. In May 2019, was honored to be part of the Commonwealth Election Observer Mission to Malawi under the Chairmanship of the Honorable former President of South Africa HE Thabo Mbeki.
