Professional Experience:
I worked for eleven years for the Government of Ecuador in the Ministry of Social Development (former Technical Social Secretariat), in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, in the Ministry of Coordination of Economic Policy, among other institutions, designing, implementing and monitoring social and economic policies, strategies and programs. In these institutions I worked with Ecuadorian government senior officials and authorities in several development issues, making research and analysis and giving advice on subjects such as poverty, equality, hunger, health, education, water and sanitation, decent work, infrastructure, habitat, finance for development and economic growth, so I have in-depth knowledge of these subjects and I feel profoundly committed with them. I leaded inter-sector coordination as well as dialogues with stakeholders to assure the articulation, financing of policies and programs and appropriate delivery of services. I have also been in charge of international technical cooperation projects. I participated in big projects such as the research “Is Public Health progressive o regressive” and the “Social Agenda 2009-2011” and I prepared and reviewed several written documents oriented to decision making. I participated in meetings, conferences and panels, representing the government nationally and internationally. For instance, I represented Ecuador in the Global Summit of Women 2009 in Chile; also I represented the country in the World Urban Forum 2014, in Colombia with the speech “Perspectives and challenges of urban development public policy in Ecuador”.

At international level, I worked for about two years for a Non Governmental Organization in Dominican Republic as advisor in social and economic analysis. I created the “Observatory of Social Policies of Dominican Republic” which included analysis and monitoring of social issues. As part of my job I made advocacy in social and economic subjects of the country with social organizations, government and media. In addition, I worked as consultant for the World Bank analyzing policy proposals in the area of nutrition. I participated in the World Bank country study “Nutrition Failure in Ecuador: causes and consequences”.

In addition, for about two and a half years I have worked on financial and managing issues: I was responsible of the back office of the National Financial Corporation of Ecuador (public bank); I managed the financial and administrative area of the third biggest public enterprise in Ecuador; and I worked for a sub national mobility enterprise in the same area.

In general, in my most part of my career I have conducted planning processes prioritizing work and resources in line of organizational strategies. I have acquired ample experience in decision making and working under pressure. I am habituated to develop my job in team works and I valuate it since everyone makes important contributions in different areas for achieving goals. Also, I have fort
