Well experienced in setting up high quality result measurement management system compliant with donor committee for enterprise development guideline (DCED) guidelines and promoting women economic empowerment (WEE). Excellent in managing relations with donors (Australian and European countries) and government counterparts. • Experience in “thin” markets: Worked closely in thin markets in Fiji, Timor Leste and certain parts of conflict affected Sri Lanka and established successful MSD initiatives. Beyond that also worked in more established markets like Bangladesh and Pakistan (indirectly). • Strategic and systems thinking in various sectors: Widespread experience in different countries in analysing market systems, identifying constraints, opportunities, developing, implementing sector strategy. Implemented strategies for tourism, export processing, agriculture, fisheries, ICT and media. • Analysing inclusion barriers: Identified root causes for poverty though poverty and gender studies in Fiji and Sri Lanka while providing inputs for similar studies for Pakistan and PNG. For poverty, used tools as in poverty scorecard and for Women Economic Empowerment (WEE), analysed intervention scope from access and agency frontiers. • Driving innovations: In Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Fiji, led, developed and implemented a suite of innovative interventions to promote transformative change and generate inclusive impact. Partners include, private and public actors. The telecom agriculture helpline received an award from GSMA Asia Mobile awards in 2009. In total have been involved in directly in, designing and implementing over 60 interventions. • Program Quality and Operations: In both Fiji and Sri Lanka, implemented a rigorous, DCED compliant, result measurement systems. Reported results based on both attribution and contribution methods while focusing on value for money (VFM) indicators. In operations, worked with central ops to ensure proper financial and administrative guidelines were followed; twice involved in relocating country offices to different locations owing to budgetary reasons. • Influence and engagement: Established and maintained excellent relations with donors from DFAT, SDC and DFID. Have been involved in drafting, developing and delivering number of communication outputs including reports, case studies, newsletter. Additionally, organized thematic events with chamber bodies to facilitate change. • Working with public bodies: Public bodies/agencies, while often having resource issues, have an important role to play in ensure effective functioning of markets. I have dealt and partnered with different public bodies and agencies in ensuring successful implementation. Some examples include Fiji Revenue Custom Authority, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, Agriculture Information Services, Bangladesh and selected district bodies
