Professional Experience:
I have practical experience working for international organizations.

I worked for a NGO in Brussels for development and agricultural cooperation with farmers and rural member organizations as a Program Manager trainee. I demonstrated my ability to manage multiple tasks, including administrative tasks, and priorities while meeting deadlines and working across teams by performing a full scope of support tasks for senior-level program managers, including meeting coordination, conception of donor reports, processing of products of knowledge management, and designing and producing communication outputs. In addition I contributed to a project evaluation in Uganda, aimed at reinforcing famers’ organizations’ competences and enhancing their position in policymaking. I supported the evaluation team in gathering results on the impact of the program by contributing to the facilitation of interviews, focus group discussions, and work sessions with various actors in the program (farmer organizations, agri-agencies, and embassies). I led a group discussion with women farmers concerning gender issues, and inequalities within the household and their impact on agricultural development, and I presented the finding during the final sense-making workshop.

I also conducted a research assignment on a public health policy at an International Research Unit in Thailand. The study aimed at assessing the cost-effectiveness of improved HIV screening for high-risk individuals. I planned and developed the methodology for the study using recommendations from rigorous sources such as the WHO Guide to Cost-Effectiveness Analysis. I gathered and analyzed epidemiological data, behavioral, and socio-demographic data, obtained from national sources and surveys, or from the research unit. I prepared regular progress reports that I discussed with superiors and collaborators. I finalized the study with a rigorous report that I presented to diverse audiences during research seminars. The study contributed to the organization’s efforts in obtaining a new grant to continue and improve the program in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health in Thailand.
Education:
I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University, in the United States, majoring in Economics and International Development. I wrote my bachelor thesis on the impact of women's education, entitled "The Impact of Women's Education on Economic Growth". I graduated with a GPA of 3.706/4.00, and I was mentioned on the Dean's List for 3 semesters.

I then obtained a Master’s degree in International Economics and Development from the University of Paris-Dauphine in France. For my master thesis I completed an economic research assignment in Thailand focused on public health, namely on HIV, the thesis was entitled “A Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Improved HIV Screening for High-Risk Individuals in Thailand". I graduated with honors in the top 15%.

Through my education I gained extensive knowledge in economics and public policy analysis, and I acquired strong quantitative skills. I took many high level courses (such as advanced macro and micro economics, econometrics, macroeconomic policy, economics of international trade and policy, methods for evaluating public and social policies) that allowed me to perfect my writing and research skills, as well as my analytical skills. I acquired proficiency in statistical software such as STATA.
