- Strong experience in administration, management, and the budgeting/financial control of both human and financial resources.

- Management of rural development, sustainable development and livelihoods, education, governance, youth and children, disaster preparedness and emergency, and human rights programs.

- Intercultural expertise, experience in working with Indigenous Peoples

- Strong knowledge of the political, social and economic context of Latin America and the Caribbean region, with an emphasis on the Andean and Central Amercan regions.

- Strong representational and communications skills, experience in networking and coalition building

- Fund raising, identification of funding sources, program development and negotiations with diverse donors.

- Capacity building and strengthening of civil society organisations, within framework of participatory local development and a partnership approach.

- Mainstreaming of gender perspective.

- Policy development, political analysis and advocacy work.

- Business development and entrepreneurship training skills, and microfinance
