Professional Experience:
I am a Chartered Accountant with 25 years plus post- qualification experience.
My areas of expertise are Accounting , Assurance, Risk Analysis, Internal Controls Assessment, Financial Management Assessment, Financial Surveillance, Investigations, Internal Audit, Operational Review, Training/Capacity Building and Procurement Assignments
I have recently been the Audit Manager of a few UNICEF funded projects in Zimbabwe. I have also been the Team Leader for a UNDP assignment being the Capacity Assessment of the Health Service Commission of Zimbabwe.
I was in the role of Financial Management Specialist (FMS) in a World Bank Funded Project , CARE, implemented by the Regional Integrated Multi Hazard Early Warning System ( RIMES) , a UN Organization with the overall responsibility finance , budget , accounting , payments internal controls and audit.
Concurrently I am also working as an FMS for SAHF project of RIMES.
Prior to this I was the FMS in a World Bank Project in Meghalaya , India.
I have also carried out a UNDP HACT Macro Assessment for Mongolia
I am an accredited FMS of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) having qualified in the Accreditation Examination carried out by IFAD. From 2009 to 2023 , I have worked for as many as 49 international FMS assignments for IFAD in various countries in Asia, East Europe and the South Pacific . Concurrently I worked as a FMS for the MIDPCR Project ,Bangladesh for
almost four years. I have also carried out various procurement assignments in India and Bhutan for various IFAD Projects.
I also have the experience of working as the Group Internal Audit Manager in two groups of companies in East Africa for a total period of about four years. Earlier to that I had been the Engagement Manager in the assurance division of PricewaterhouseCoopers, India for thirteen years.
I am an individual with a very positive attitude and essentially a team player and respectful of others’ views. I have very strong training and capacity building skills.
