HR Coordinator in South Sudan, MSF Responsibilities: • Acting HRCo for 1 month – deputy for 2 months • I was responsible for the enrollment of new expats arriving • All HR matters in Doro Project and in Juba Coordination • Adaptation to new SS Labour Act & Policy making • Taxation and social security law • Recruitment processes in South Sudan and cooperation with the Labour Union in SS.
HR/admin/finance & development Manager, MSF Responsibilities: • I was responsible for the administration and staff development of a hospital in Pibor, South Sudan. • One of the objectives of my job was to increase the quality of medical care facilitating a turnaround of the whole management approach in the project. Achieved results: • I implemented new tools and policies in the project to facilitate more responsible management and did a lot of recruitments. • I created and implemented a supervisor survival guide for all managers and supervisors to increase the quality of management in the hospital.
HR development manager in Afghanistan, MSF Responsibilities: • I was task and budget responsible for staff development of 2,200 Afghan employees, including the associated strategic work. • One of the objectives of my job was to increase the quality of medical care and the level of competencies in the MSF Afghan mission in general.
Achieved results: • I facilitated a wide range of national and international courses in our 6 projects. • I got some Afghan midwives trained and certified as international trainers. • I had some international medical trainings relocated to Afghanistan to increase our training capacity. • I completed an online staff development platform containing individual induction programs, staff performance assessments, staff development plans and an online library with more than 250 validated trainings. • I developed a new strategy for on-the-job management development in MSF Brussels. • I developed a Supervisor Skills Training - level 2 together with my colleagues.
Principal at Højvang School, Aarhus Municipality Objectives: • I was hired to do a turn-around of an organization that three other principals before me failed on turning. • Reduce a financial deficit of 12.5%. • Customize the staff volume and increased the workload significantly for all staff. • Raise the staff’s job satisfaction. • Facilitate a decrease in numbers of sick leaves. • Implement a new school reform and a new labor law. • Set a task and strategic direction for the school. • Merge two administrations.
Achieved Results: • Operations was adjusted. • A profit was created after two years. • Job satisfaction increased. • Absence due to sickness decreased to average levels in the municipality • A clear development of the school was described and initiated with new innovative initiatives as first movers in the municipality. • The other members of the management team were replaced and management quality increased after that
