Professional Experience:
Stella is a climate and sustainability in development specialist. She is also passionate and skilled in gender issues. She is an experience development Team Leader. Recent assignments include:e ADB Financing Low carbon and resilient Infrastructure in seven Asian Cities (Vietnam, Myannmar, Fiji, Mongolia, Georgia, Bangladesh and China). She is a specialist in sea level rise. She is currently on an assignment as Acting Director Strategic Waste Program in the EPA NSW Government in Australia with a responsibility for steering the EPA’s response to China National Sword. As Senior Executive in sustainability & environment Stella has led large policy and delivery teams in both the public and private sector. She has been Team Leader on many climate development jobs for Multilateral Development Banks in Asia (ADB, World Bank). She has delivered strategic advisory work for both public and private sector clients in sustainability, environment and climate change. She has steered policy, regulatory, assessment and reporting commissions on sustainability, climate change, waste, carbon strategy and energy efficiency for public and private sector clients across Australia. She is a specialist in sustainability & environmental policy & regulation, sustainability strategy & management, consultation/facilitation/engagement, environmental planning, sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) and Global report Initiative (GRI) reporting, greenhouse gas & carbon management, climate adaptation planning, resource recovery, climate science translation, climate finance, low carbon cities, green buildings, infrastructure sustainability, and liveable Cities. Prior to joining the private sector as a principal consultant Stella has also been Director of environmental and sustainability policy, in both the NSW and Victorian Government (Department of Environment & Climate Change (NSW) and the Department of Sustainability & the Environment (VIC.
