I have skills in procurement management, administration, logistics management, project management, transport management, fleet and asset management, warehouse and inventory management, contract management, basic financial resource management, coordination, and leadership and people management, sales and marketing. Having worked with Kobil Uganda Limited in positions of Operations Manager (1 year 7 months), Transport & Distribution Manager (4 years 10 months), and Procurement Officer (2 years 8 months), positions that have given me professional experience of 9 years 1 month. I have used the varying leadership styles to offer strategic and visionary leadership to a team managing various supply, warehouse, and distribution and engineering activities in operations department. As a Meta Leader, I motivated and built staff capacity through training, coaching and mentor-ship. I resolved conflicts among individual Employees, groups and departments using my leadership skills. I managed logistical activities from point of supply to Customer. This involved managing supplier, Customer, and other stakeholders’ relations. Imports and exports formed part of these activities, and involved handling documents that support movement and Custom’s clearance, working with Custom’s authorities, clearing and forwarding Agents, and other relevant governmental and business partners including third and fourth party logistics providers. I planned, organized and coordinated all the resources needed to move items along the supply chain taking responsibility for inventory accountability. I participated as a project team member in number of projects that improved my skills in especially managing and coordinating resources and ensuring projects are accomplished in time through monitoring activities and ensuring objectives are evaluated. I efficiently and effectively managed transport services to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. I controlled operational costs (budgetary control), designed standard operating procedure for fleet and inventory in line with organizational policies and guidelines ensuring daily and monthly reports are produced. Health, Safety and security at work place and in transport is an area I have had experience in to protect company assets and staff by putting in place system. I monitored and analyzed each fleet according to total cost of ownership and came up with appropriate recommendations such as disposal and replacement, disciplinary action in cases of abuse and misuse, training of staff as and when need identified. I also ensured vehicles meet local operating statutory requirement in relation to licensing, insurance, administration and other laws/regulations, and that each driver complies and abides by such requirements.
