Professional Experience: |
* Public Health / Veterinary Public Health: i) development and implementation of M&E tools for hospital management, including development of tools for economic evaluation of clinics and hospitals; ii) development of technical and operational standards operational procedures for hospitals and clinics (addressing relevant key management areas); iii) development of relevant M&E indicators for Public-Private Partnerships on hospital management; iv) identification, planning and management of projects for avian influenza / zoonoses - development, implementation, coordination and monitoring and evaluation of programs / projects for prevention and control of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI); v) planning, design and administration of disease surveillance systems for communicable diseases (with emphasis on zoonoses); vi) epidemiology of zoonotic diseases; vii) vaccine development and production. * Economics: i) project planning and management; ii) financial and managerial accounting; iii) economic M&E; iv) economics of water resources; v) (agriculture) trade and policy issues. * Project Planning, Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Economics and Financial Analysis: i) provide technical support to countries in their efforts to develop the national M&E system; ii) coordinate and strengthen the global, regional and country M&E partners communications and collaboration network in support of a harmonized and aligned approach to indicator monitoring, evaluation approaches, and capacity building to attain the Three ones, specifically the Third One – ‘one national M&E system’; iii) Provide M&E technical assistance to various stakeholders on the implementation of specific M&E activities, according to the 12 components of a functional M&E system (World Bank / GAMET); iv) teaching of M&E. * Veterinary Medicine / Tropical Medicine: i) Assess and monitor the development trends in the livestock sector and its various sub-sectors and evaluate the likely social, animal and public health (zoonotic diseases) as well as environmental impacts and risks of these trends; ii) Veterinary Public Health; iii) pathology; iv) immunology; v) comparative immunopathology. * Food Safety / security: i) development of appropriate technologies and programs (best practices) for improvement of food safety and quality throughout the food chain; ii) food policy: global food regulation and trade (codex alimentarius); iii) food safety risk and analysis; iv) policy and program formulation / implementation towards achievement of food security within the context of NEPAD (in collaboration with UNICEF, FAO, WHO and the African Union); v) prevention of zoonotic diseases associated with food consumption; vi) development of training manuals and guidelines to improve food safety / quality (capacity building); vii) supervision of food inspectors and personnel involved in the Food industry; viii) experience in the development and application of food standards and food control programs
