Professional Experience: |
Since a young age I have always believed in helping those less fortunate and improving society, which has been proven in my professional, volunteer and academic experiences including my MA in Global Development and Gender. My recent studies and time volunteering at Gram Vikas and Seva Mandir in India have reaffirmed the importance of reducing discriminations and increasing the equalities for all. I am currently seeking a role where I can utilise my excellent research, project, stakeholder, event management and organisational skills, along with my creative mind to achieve my ambition of assisting to reduce discriminations and inequalities.
I am an optimistic, hardworking, quick learner who enjoys a challenge, with excellent time-management and a talent for thinking outside the box to find a solution. In addition, I have worked within the NGO, healthcare, public and education sectors, also conducting research in India and Zimbabwe. My recent role in India was a research manager responsible for the design, execution and delivery of evaluations. I also have experience leading and delivering implementation projects internationally meeting funders and external organisations requirements, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
My excellent project management and organisational skills which were established at the NHS Leadership Academy where I managed multiple projects and programmes totalling of over £4million per annum. I was responsible for all logistical arrangements, event management, budget management, scheduling and programme planning, communication management including stakeholder engagement, risk management, pastoral care of participants and faculty planning and support. In addition, these skills were reaffirmed in the field, in Zimbabwe I managed two development implementation projects including overall project planning and budget management, reporting to donors, assisting at sessions, stakeholder engagement including government officials and offering pastoral care where needed.
I have often been described as personal and approachable person who has cultural awareness and sensitivity, which was proved in my success in my time overseas working with marginalised communities and within a variety of cultural contexts. In addition, I have experience working with networks and civil society actors both in India and in Zimbabwe. In all my roles, I have employed my meticulous eye for detail with budget management and evaluation of data, including the production performance-led monitoring reports, risk registers, financial reporting. I have excellent multi-tasking capabilities and time management skills that enable me to prioritise and consistently meet competing deadlines, often in a constant changing environment. I have successfully delivered projects in a variety of settings including turbulent ones due to my flexibility, adaptability and ability to cope in stressful situations.
