Professional Experience: |
In 2011, after almost 10 years in investment banking, I decided to make a career change and be closer to the "solution": the THIRD SECTOR. The biggest motivation for this change was the financial crisis of 2008. It became clear to me that social responsibility and true accountability were still not that relevant in various industries (especially in banking), and that its impact should go far beyond corporate responsibility reports, it should be embeded in the business model and be valued in all third party financial analyst reports, valuations and by consumers.
When I did pro bono projects for Impetus - The Private Equity Foundation, a fund that invests in social enterprises and charities following a private equity methodology, I saw in practice that high professional standards enhance social impact in every initiative. So, why not start with existing for profit businesses and turn them into true social impact ones?
Now, after a sabbatical period dedicated to my family, I'm ready for my next professional challenge, which will be for sure the most difficult and most rewarding of all.
My investment banking skills and solid educational background are easily transferable and valuable to different types of jobs, but this vision I have (of how business will be done in the future, how companies will become the solution, and how consumers and investors will also take responsibility) is definitely my biggest asset!
