COMMERCIAL SPECIALIST / PROGRAM MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT

• Pioneered formation of an education sector to create and leverage partnerships between U.S. and Nigerian educational institutions, including recruitment of school administrators and teachers to participate in U.S. educational conferences, exchange programs and joint degree programs.
• Initiated collaborations between EducationUSA and Department of Commerce to develop and recruit 25 U.S. universities and colleges to participate in multi-country/city education fairs.
• Built the research team and Networking with USA (NUSA) program into a model ‘clearing-house’ delivering one of U.S. Department of Commerce’s best due diligence services.
• Liaised with key Nigerian government agencies in validating companies for partnerships and pinpointing fraudulent groups and activities.
• Designed, developed and supervised implementation of electronic payments system for NUSA and International Buyer Program (IBP) collections by UBA across all its branches nationwide, which resulted in increased transparency, accountability and revenue base for FCS Lagos.

INVESTIGATIONS SPECIALIST, FRAUD PREVENTION AND DETECTION.

• Broke new ground in first six months on the job by spearheading use of a new qualitative research interviewing technique, allowing investigators to quickly gain the trust of interviewees, significantly improving their ability to deter immigration fraud and leading to identification of a multicontinent immigration fraud syndicate.
• Received an Extra Mile Award for implementing the new research technique and another for transforming database management systems and generating additional revenue.
• Utilized Visual FoxPro to generate and administer a database to track fraud in visa and passport applications.
• Cross-referenced fraud reports from other U.S. consulates to illuminate immigration scams worldwide, publishing the results and other data in the monthly newsletter.
• Spearheaded quarterly analysis of data to pinpoint emerging fraud trends.

• Simplified the process for accessing resources in the section, providing a single point-of-contact for all inquiries.
• Utilized DBMS to launch a system to more efficiently manage materials for visa applications.
