He is a Medical Doctor with over 13-years post-graduation experience of working in developing countries’ health systems. He was a 2006 Ford Foundation International Fellow at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

Professional Experience:
I possess 15 years post qualification experience spanning 2 countries (Nigeria and Zambia). I have worked in clinic and community settings. My clinic experience includes one year internship with Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, 9 months experience in a busy paediatric clinic and one year national service as principal medical officer in a busy hospital with the Nigerian Army in Abuja, Nigeria.

My community work includes a 4 year stint with Nigeria's National Programme on Immunization as principal monitoring and evaluation officer, 2 months research work in Zambia, 2 years work in safe motherhood with Pathfinder International, 2 years work in the philanthropy sector with the largest indigenous Nigerian Foundation, TY Danjuma Foundation and a 6 month stint with Micronutrient Initiative during which i led the organisation's support to the government of Nigeria to scale up iron and folic acid for pregnant women.

I serve as research client to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. In this capacity, postgraduate students are sent to carry out their international health research in Nigeria under my mentorship. I have supervised 3 students over 3 years. Their researches cut across obstetric haemorrhages, family planning and neglected tropical diseases.

Currently, II work n the philanthropic sector as Senior Programme Officer at TY Danjuma Foundation. I head grant making in community health and provide supervisory oversight for education and income generation thematic areas.
Education:
Dr. Ifeanyi McWilliams Nsofor is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and a graduate of Medicine and Surgery from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University School of Medicine. He has over 13-years post-graduation experience of working in developing countries’ health systems. He was a 2006 Ford Foundation International Fellow at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University of Liverpool; during which he obtained the Masters in Community Health degree. He is an alumnus of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government Executive Education on Strategic Frameworks for Nonprofit Organizations. He has attended short courses in cost effectiveness analysis of health interventions at Oxford University and he is an alumnus of the Oxford University 2009 Global Health Summer School. He is currently studying for his MBA (with Specialism in Strategic Planning) at Edinburgh Business School, Scotland.
