Professional Experience:
Research Assistant Makerere University June -December 1986. Have been in Law enforcement for three decades. I managed work plans at national, regional and global levels; and is experienced in managing small to large team, public speaking, mentoring and training.
1988 pioneered crime prevention radio programmes in Uganda. 1995 I launched community policing in Kira Road Uganda. In 1998 planed and ensured security in Jinja district Uganda. Using crime prevention and community policing activities, I mobilized the public to support police work, secured donation of a patrol vehicle from business community. I volunteered as a trainer at Police College, social worker, counselor, and is member of the coalition of professionals against corruption in Uganda.
Strong advocate of regional cooperation and coordination to fight crime, launched and led the Uganda Police joint operation code named UMOJA 1. To date these operations have been incorporated in the Eastern African Police Chiefs Committee agenda.
As a team player, I support senior management to steer initiatives, events management, coordination, and promotion of organizations goals through national and international forums. Experienced in planning and providing oversight for the implementation of strategic priorities with the regional business plans in Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe. I prepared regional conferences and supported senior management in rolling out programmes across the globe. Promoted and marketed the organizations plans to Police Chiefs and Ministers responsible for Police.
Experienced in working with professional teams of people with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. The service I provided to the Chiefs of Police and their respective ministers across the globe, has built and strengthened global policing. This resulted in recognition and I was awarded a medal by His Excellency the President of Columbia in 2013.
My interests include supporting teams that formulate solutions for capacity building of police forces/services/agencies. I am looking for new job opportunities and consultancy to use, tap into this knowledge and experience.
