I am passionate about value addition in programmes operations and ensuring cost savings particularly in supply chain that usually increase delivery costs if not well managed. Hence I am always aiming at reducing costs in the supply chain process to ensure that the costs of programme or service are minimized. This ensures that extra resources are available for other direct project costs.
I also have exceptional skills in logistics operations with experience in several sectors and countries. I have worked in the supply chain sector from sourcing, transportation (both local and international transportation), warehousing and distribution to end users. These skills and expertise I will bring to your organisation
Education:
I hold a Masters’ Degree in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management as well as a Bachelor of Art Degree in Business Studies and a Diploma in Logistics and Transport (CIPS) and also CHL (Certification in Humanitarian Logistics) trained with a post-graduate diploma from the Logistics Learning Alliance
Affiliations and Achievements:
In terms of working experience I have achieved and accomplished the following over the years;
In 2003 to 2005 I was seconded to Shangombo district one of the most logistically challenging places Zambia as Head of Sub Office by Catholic Relief Services (CRS). My overall responsibility was to manage a project called C-SAFE funded by the Office for Food for Peace of the US Government. I was overseeing the receipting, storage and monthly distribution of 600 metric tonnes of food supplements. In addition I was managing a sub office with over 50 staff with 5 directly under my line management. The sub office had an annual operational budget of US$ 500,000.00

From 2005 to 2013 I was Country Logistics Manager for Oxfam GB operations in Zambia providing logistics support to the following projects; Water and Sanitation (WASH), Education, Health, Livelihoods, Cash Transfers, Construction and Shelter. These programs were for both development and emergency response programs. I was responsible for the country procurement budgets with an annual estimate of over US$ 8 million managing both national and international procurement to provide effective support to program delivery

In 2009 I was deployed by Oxfam to lead the logistics operations of the organisation during the Cholera Emergency response in Zimbabwe. I was overall responsible for the contracting drilling companies for borehole drilling, water delivery companies for water tracking and suppliers for hygiene products. I was responsible for managing the customs and clearing process for imported supplies for the project. The emergency response received funding from several donors in the excess of US$ 35 million that we delivered effectively and we managed to reduce cholera cases within six month

In 2011 I was part of the international team of emergency response experts that was deployed by Oxfam to Southern Pakistan in Sindh province to provide recovery response during the floods. My main responsibilities were to provide on the job logistics trainings to local partner organisation in the warehouse management, distribution and donor reporting on all supplies received during the emergency response time

In 2014 to 2015 I was in Liberia West Africa hired by Plan International as Procurement and Logistics Specialist to management the local and international procurement of both health and non-health products for the Ebola Response. I have managed procurements for as high as US$ 3 million per transaction with overall project budgets of over 80 US$ million

I was recently working for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Zambia under the Global Fund project were I was lead logistician providing supply chain technical support to the Central Medical Stores in the shipping, storage and distribution of medical supplies

I am also a part time Logistics Trainer and Recruitment Consultant at Laura and Partners in Lusaka Zambia responsible for the hiring and auditing the companies’ clients’ procurement and logistics process. Some of the clients I have undertaken work for at Laura and Partners include The German Technical Cooperation (GIZ) office in Zambia, John Snow Inc., Zambia Sugar Plc, Large Cement, USAID and Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
