An initiative to launch six projects to build recovery, and support resilience in Borno State funded by the EU and implemented jointly by Mercy Corps and ICEED.
BUSINESS AND MARKET DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME OFFICER
Seek out and recommend potential private sector partnership opportunities, and collaborate to build relations with financial institutions. Coordinate delegation of cash grant distribution among trainees. Evaluate progress, traveling across districts to oversee and monitor short- and long-term project implementations. Facilitate communications among staff, and expand the market for clean energy technologies.

• Led instruction and training of 140 selected IDPs (Internally Displaced People) and returnees in business development fundamentals.
• Developed short- and long-term sustainability strategies to promote overall project growth and increase impact.
Sustainable Fuel Wood Management Programme (SFM) Phase 2• Maidururi, Borno State •2019 — Present
An initiative to increase fuel wood energy access for IDPs, returnees, and host communities funded by the FAO and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Managecampaigns to promote awareness of safe access to clean-cooking energy solutions to a multitude of IDPs, returnees, and community members. Develop a strategic plan to distribute 10K fuel efficient stoves among vulnerable households. Oversee the growth and establishment of three cooperative societies.

• Educated and continually mentored 100 entrepreneurs in implementing energy efficient technologies in business.
• Registered three cooperative societies across the three selected LGAs in Borno State, facilitated the opening of a bank account for each.
EU Project on Improving Fuel Wood Balance (FWB) • Katsina State•2015 —2019
An organization through the European Union dedicated to implementing sustainability in Katsina State.
PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT EXPERT/HEAD OF OFFICE
Identified private sector partnership opportunities, actively built relationships with financial institutions. Developed strategic plans for the argo forestry components, as well as improved procedures for distribution of product.
