>> I am leading the HSBC Water Programme for Bangalore site with a funding of USD 1.2m from HSBC Group to (a) create rain water harvesting structures in a group of villages in Tumkur District of Karnataka and (b) create a conservation framework for two critical wetlands in close proximity to Bangalore. o Took the project live in the matter of 3 weeks in Bangalore as against 5-6 months’ time taken by similar projects in other sites. Received appreciation from GBM Service Centre Senior Management for this. o The progress of this project in Bangalore has been singled out for appreciation by David Burnett, then COO GBM at his off-site in Sep 2013. o The project synopsis was featured in the HSBC’s Group Sustainability Report for 2013 and HSBC @ 150 – A Coffee Table Book. o A video created as part of our support to wetlands conservation in Kokkarebellur was shortlisted for Global Sustainability Film Awards by Tve in Nov 2017; participated in the Awards Ceremony held at the BAFTA in London. o Adjudged the “Winner” in the Global Champion category for HSBC Water Programme Awards for the year 2016; The awards were announced by the HSBC Group Chairman and adjudicated in London by a jury consisting of HSBC Group Chairman and senior functionaries from our Global Sustainability Partners; Was the “Runner-Up” in the same category for the year 2015.
