For the last 5 years I have been working for the energy company, where I responsible for monitoring EU legislative and regulatory developments within the energy sector, maintaining an organisation-wide project database in energy sector and developing systems and processes for improved project monitoring and evaluation.
From 2009-2013 – working for the Austrian think-tank Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) at the Political Affairs Department on the research projects: 1) „Assessing unity of the European Union in international climate change negotiations: Copenhagen and Cancun” • Evaluation of strategic positions on controversial issues (CO2 targets and CO2 certificates, and financial contributions to the developing countries) with qualitative and quantitative methods • Assessment of the EU legal framework for international negotiations on climate change • Measuring impact of politicization on the preference cohesion among the Member States Achieved: • Developed charts of energy mix of 27 EU Member States, with their strengths/weaknesses and capacities for compromise-building on controversial climate change issues
2) International Governance and Domestic Politics: Do Parties Matter Beyond the Nation State?” (Grant of the Austrian National Bank) • Analysis of the French and German government positions towards climate change policy and the reduction of agricultural subsidies in European and global negotiations (1990–2009) • Assessment of political parties’ impact on formulating national position in European and international negotiations Achieved: • Elaborated preferences for each French and German political party for 13 controversial issues (mini case-studies) • Filtered “corridors of national interests” on environmental and agricultural issues
2008-2009 - Traineeship in the European Commission, DG – Research, Department – Strategic Planning and Programming, Brussels • Analytical monitoring of the political initiative to create “Legal Framework for Research Infrastructure in Europe“ • Providing research for the project “Measuring Performance in Science“ Achieved: • Developed stakeholders’ network for Research Infrastructures (RIs) in Europe for better and efficient decision-making, management and implementation
