Chief Technical Adviser for Harapan Rainforest, a forest rehabilitation project in Jambi and South Sumatra Provinces – the project has a main focus on restoring degraded forests for biodiversity and supporting local community issues; Vice-Director for Arara Abadi, Riau - successfully negotiated the development of The Giam Siak Kecil Biosphere Reserve (800,000ha) within Riau’s peat swamp forests securing 1 million USD from Asia Pulp and Paper for its management - required addressing the Provincial Land-use Plan and extended negotiations with local, provincial and central decision-makers as well as engaging local communities; Program Coordinator for WWF Indonesia’s Riau Program, covering almost half of Riau Province – this included providing technical support to eleven projects Chief Technical Adviser for the Wildlife Department (Perhilitan) in Malaysia, on capacity building in the government sector and developing a Management Plan for Krau Wildlife Reserve; Senior Biodiversity Specialist for the Department of Nature Conservation and Protection (DNCP) in Cambodia – developing a management Plan for Bokor National Park and support towards the development of Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve; Research Station Manager In Kayan Mentarang National Park for WWF-US/UNESCO Program experience from UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme in S.E.Asia as Associate Expert; Trainer of trainers in in organic farming for the destitute for CARE International;
