Professional Experience: |
Thapaliya’s work experience encompasses over 13 years in the design of sustainable business modality and implementation of community based clean/renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Nepal. Development related project financing/banking, technical and energy management specialist in Renewable Energy Programmes/Projects, he has extensive experience in micro/mini hydropower, mini-grid projects and Biogas Energy projects with key expertise in energy planning, micro-financing, implementation and development of business modality especially in Result Based Funding energy projects, subsidy and credit policy designing for 'off-grid' energy delivery services in rural communities of Nepal. He also brings experiences of coordinating, facilitating and encouraging policy change within governments, bilateral and multilateral donors to support community based energy projects. Additionally, he has a strong hold in activity planning, budgeting, developing the business model projects and monitoring and evaluation of larger size energy projects
