Professional Experience:
I worked with the ministry of health and social welfare in the Kingdom of Lesotho since 2010 as general practitioner in PHC programmes especially access to and utilization of priority health related programmes like: Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs), communicable diseases, Maternal and Child Health (MCH), emergency preparedness and response and strengthening intersectoral collaboration and community engagement tackling adverse impact of Social Determinants of Health (SDH), in meeting people health need concept where I am using helicopter to reach the underserved villages. I also dealt with general consultation in medicine, TB, TB/HIV co-infection, drug resistant. I was also the team leader of infection control unit at Motebang hospital in the district of Leribe where I worked hand in hand with ICAP in infection control regarding HIV/TB co-infection. From December 2011 till the end of my contact in February 2016 I worked as flying doctor to different clinics treating patient with holistic approach based on patient centred-care using car or helicopter in different villages deprived from clinics and I supervised 25 clinics in the district of Leribe (on schedule basis) and improved quality of care. I have also volunteered in Disaster Management Authority (DMA) in order to improve community life in Disaster Risk Reduction plan.

I have been practicing medicine since 2006; my knowledge and experience promoted me to be chosen as the head of paediatric department in the Military Hospital of Goma in Democratic Republic of Congo where I worked for two years in the most stressfully environment as civilian personnel working in the military hospital.

I was appointed coordinator of Family Medicine and Primary Health care department in the University of Goma in DRC under Primafamed project in collaboration with Gent University in Belgium where I participated to develop the Family Medicine curriculum in the University of Goma.

I would like to work with your institution as it is the one “meeting people’s health needs” in an environment challenging western medicine with the cross-culture belief that the world is facing and needs multidisciplinary approach with one objective as sustainability of good health, prevention and education which I am able to provide. I am a well-qualified medical doctor with extensive experience in public health in the broader infectious diseases domain including TB, HIV and TB/HIV co-infection. I have excellent communication, presentation and writing skills as well as experience in grant writing, proposal development, data analysis and manuscript writing for publication.
