Knowledge Learning and Operation Research Specialist; Support to National Malaria Program (SuNMaP)/ Malaria Consortium Abuja, Nigeria from 10/2014-01/2016.
Successfully led the development and implementation of programme knowledge management (KM) systems and documentation which resulted to an open system for access to any information. Also fostered a program culture that embraced collaboration, learning and adapting principles by integrating learning and KM activities in to the work plan. Also, coordinated the provision of capacity building support to government partners and technical staff in the management of operational research including development of study concepts, expressions of interest and study proposals.

Developed and continuously refined a centralized KM system to capture project evidence and learning. Successfully managed KM system’s relevant qualitative and quantitative data on project activities, outputs and outcomes which resulted to the enrolment of 13,668 (6,957 male, 6,711 female) vulnerable children in 26 communities of the 3 project states. Created and supported exchange learning activities amongst Community Based organization partners and the state teams to learn from best practices and project targets were surpassed.

Took a lead in planning, coordinating, providing overall supervisory role for the conduct of applied quasi experimental design assessment of the impact of the Comprehensive Integrated Approach to HIV Intervention and Care (CIHPAC), PSRHH, Voice For Humanity and also conducted the data analysis and wrote the report. Designed and implemented applied research using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodologies including but not limited to: mid-term evaluation of a community level female condom intervention, a Prison knowledge, attitudes and practices survey, a HIV counseling testing survey, and a participatory ethnographic evaluation and research approach amongst female out of school youth in Mpape Community of Abuja.

Support to National Malaria Project on Knowledge Management:
Liaised with state programme team and output managers in the identification and documentation of programme success stories and facts sheets. A total of 76 stories were collated and 23 success stories and 10 fact sheets were finally developed and disseminated at the end of project meeting. Provided technical support in ensuring the National Malaria Elimination Programme website was revamped and approved for use.
