Professional Experience: |
Geographically I focused my career development in Africa; with long term field experience in Sierra Leone; The Sudan; Uganda; Botswana and Kenya. Various short term work assignments focused on Zimbabwe; Zambia; Namibia and of course, I worked extensively in South Africa.
A key outcome throughout my career as Manager includes motivated and efficient teams: my Human Resource skills ensure that people development form the base for all achievements.
In my current position as Deputy Regional Director responsible for systems I work with our Ethiopia; Kenya and The Sudan country offices as well as Regional Office in Nairobi. I am responsible for Transition/ Change; Human Resources; Administration and IT; Security; Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation as well as the Grants Management System.
Key achievements include the effective preparations towards organizational transition (An organizational merge will take place April 2012) with well prepared staff and all new systems in place; both at regional and country office levels. My previous work opportunities included field management positions with program; grants, system and people development responsibilities (Gulu, northern Uganda; 2008-2010 and Khartoum, The Sudan; 2007-2008).
Key achievements include increased donor funds with expanded programming (in Gulu funds were tripled in 2 years). Operation Support Manager with HR, Logistics; Security, Admin and Finance directorship (Sierra Leone, 2005-2007). Key achievements included ensuring organizational change resulting in a stronger national management team.
