Professional Experience: |
I have more than 9 years of professional working experience. I have worked for 3 years in India and have been based in Lao PDR (SE Asia) for 6+ years now.
I have worked on international projects for social safeguards, involuntary resettlement, education, gender, ethnic groups and community development. My involvement has been mostly in project management issues including planning, implementation, Monitoring and evaluation, communication and other supporting issues such as budget management & human resources.
My current engagement is with Nam Theun2 Power Co. Ltd., Lao PDR as Project Coordinator for their resettlement project in Khammouane Province of Lao PDR. The resettlement program works across 16 villages with over 1300 Households and a population of more than 7000 resettlers which were resettled when the Nam Theun2 dam was constructed.
This program not only provides for provision of individual & community infrastructure, but also the means to the resettlers to build up their livelihood and well-being. This includes support for livelihood development, such as agriculture, fisheries livestock, off farm, community forestry and support for education, health, gender issues, ethnic minorities, poor & vulnerable and community institutions. The program also works on special inputs and treatment required for gender inequality, poor and vulnerable families & ethnic minorities impacted in the resettlement area.
As a project coordinator, I am responsible for all the phases of project management, including implementation, monitoring, and finance and budgeting.The profile further involves coordination with external monitors including World Bank and Asian Development Bank to ensure their social safeguards, establish and document compliance with the Concession Agreement, Project agreement including plans and framework documents. I coordinate a team of more than 30 national staff.
My previous experience in Lao PDR is with Birla Lao Co. has enriched my experience in project management with my responsibilities including finance, budgeting, cost control, developing MIS for plantations and community development program. A major part of this role included end to
end plantations management, cost control, monitoring operational efficiency, managing a team of 20 staff and their professional growth through trainings.
I did my internship with KfW-German Development Bank, India for their NRM projects in India. The work involved developing periodic annual mid-term ‘impact and monitoring assessment’ formats of KfW funded projects under their NRM & Livelihood portfolio in India.
Previous to my stint in development sector I was into Information technology consulting working on banking and healthcare domain products.

I have a MBA Degree (Masters in Business Administration) in Social and Environment Management from an international fame Institute. Previous to that I have a Bachelors degree in Engineering with specialization in Information Systems.
