I have been a researcher from 1996 to date, spending my first five post-qualification years in formal employment at a non-governmental organisation as a research officer and the remaining 13 years as a full time consultant. I have completed more than 60 research,capacity building and institutional development consultancies to date, working in several southern and east African countries for several national, regional and international organisations. Courtesy of my competence, the World Bank has so far hired me for the highest number of consultancy days, entering into fresh contracts with me three times. I have also worked with CIDA, USAID, the European Union, United Nations agencies like UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDP and IOM as well as reputable international organisations such as World Vision, Plan International, World Education Incorporated, Catholic Relief Services, SNV, NORAD, SAIH-Norway, Save the Children Alliance, Africa Groups of Sweden, Norwegian People's Aid, and many more. My uploaded CV shows that I have consolidated my grip in academic research as well and have so far won research grants and qualified into multidisciplinary research teams of research granting organisations like the Organisation for Social Science Research in East and Southern Africa (OSSREA), Council for the Development of Social Science Report in Africa (CODESRIA) and Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR). CODESRIA has granted me for two researches in Zimbabwe and Kenya while OSSREA has granted me for one research i n Zimbabwe, which has been published.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Child and Family Studies (University of Western Cape) in addition to a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Zimbabwe. I further hold a postgraduate certificate in Multi-methods Research from the partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR, Nairobi-Kenya). In 2013 I will be beginning my PhD studies in Social Science Methods to enhance my research skills
