Professional Experience:
• I have worked as a newspaper relations editor, business journalist, communications specialist, and project manager in a range of media platforms, business sectors, and regions.
• In Italy, Egypt, and the Middle East, I coordinated tenders for projects worth several million euros as a corporate communication practitioner and consultant in the renewable energy sector. I also coordinated, wrote, and presented technical/financial feasibility studies on solar power.
• In Rome, I tripled pick-ups of Bloomberg business and finance stories by Italian newspapers in four years, editing, promoting, and distributing Bloomberg content. I also produced economic news for the International Herald Tribune TV.
• In Toronto, I started as a copywriter, went through the ranks, and finally headed the news department of Canada’s largest multi-cultural radio station, helping to increase listenership, advertisement revenues, and providing essential information to different ethnic communities.
• My experience across media platforms and business sectors has given me a practical feel for what clients need, how to pique their audiences’ interests – and how to most effectively communicate it; consulting for renewable energy companies has taught me to highlight clients’ most compelling traits and to distill complex data into clear, practical, actionable information; radio has taught me to use accessible, visual language.
• Working internationally in multicultural teams for many years in the media and renewable energy fields, I developed a hands-on understanding of both the corporate and media worlds.
• I am by nature curious; I seek out new challenges – from running marathons to joining a choir. I like putting things in context. Perspective and background make me wiser about the future. I like solving problems and helping others. I am a constant learner who likes to develop ideas, analyze facts, understand people. I am also a creative perfectionist, fluent in Italian and English.
