Sanjay has been working with IGT (formerly GTECH) since 2003 and has held different positions within the company. He started as Director Business Development, in which role he worked in Russia, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Turkey, developing new Online Lottery opportunities in the Government regulated markets.
In August 2004, Sanjay accepted the position of President and CEO, BillBird S.A. a market leading payment services Company in Poland, dealing in payment transactions. He was responsible for steering the Company’s strategic growth, growing the size of the network of payment terminals, identifying new target markets, rebranding the product line following extensive market survey and re-launching products, leveraging market promotions to achieve spectacular growth. Supervised 5 Directors and 100 staff, handled a budget of EUR 10 Million. Sanjay achieved remarkable success in turning around the business in a short span of time to achieve significant profitability.
In August 2007 on acquisition of Finsoft by, a leading Sportsbook provider, Sanjay accepted the role of COO and General Manager and moved on lateral transfer to London, and was responsible for integration, global operations and strategic growth of the business. Following restructuring and creation of the Interactive Gaming division in IGT (formerly GTECH), Sanjay has assumed the role of Director General Manager Senior responsible for implementation of new Sportsbetting solutions for Government and Commercial customers, in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Chile, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, Singapore, monitoring a budget of GBP 40 Million with line management responsibility for 100 Staff in London and Belgrade where he oversees the Project Management Office, Training and Launch and Customer Care departments and offshore contractors spread across multiple time zones. His skills include leadership, operations management, building customer relationships, strategic planning, financial planning and budgeting, program and project management, motivating teams, maximizing organizational collaboration and efficiency. He has successully managed complex deliveries to multiple customers globally.
Before joining IGT (formerly GTECH) Sanjay was a senior ranking officer in the Indian Armed Forces. He was commissioned into the Gurkha Rifles and Commanded a Mechanised Infrantry Battalion. He has held senior positions in Command, General Staff and Instructional assignments in the Army, including as Directing Staff at the Defence Services Staff College, a post graduate staff course for senior officers. He has earned laurels for successfully planning and coordinating humanitarian relief operations as part of the United Nations Operations in Somalia, Operation Restore Hope.
