Current/ latest job: Program “Irrigation de proximité dans le Bélédougou” (IPRO-DB)
Program financed by the German development bank “KfW” to develop irrigated agriculture in the region of the Bélédougou (32.000 km²).
Technical advisor for the group “Appui, conseil et valorisation”. Main duty is to develop an approach to increase the production linked to the agro-hydrologic works and improve the marketing of these products.
Task: - Developed/adapted a value chain approach to support the agricultural producers to better market their products. Train the internal staff in mastering this approach. Rapid Market Appraisals to discover the economic potential of the Bélédougou. Selection of lead farmer groups. Support to farmer groups and agri-business during the implementation.
- Supervision of Malian consultancy firms, freelancers and other temporary hired staff; call for proposal, selection and supervision; establishing a professional network of freelancers.
- Setting up a monitoring and evaluation system.
