As a financial manager for 15 years, I have dedicated my career to providing financial support services to NGO and governmental agency-sponsored activities directed toward alleviating poverty in developing nations. This work has taken me to Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines, where I have managed the finances and budgeting of major humanitarian projects and activities run by CARE, USAID, UNICEF, ECHO, EU, DFATD, GAC and others. I have also maintained accurate financial records to to ensure compliance with organizational and donor guidelines, and I liaise regularly with headquarters, government, and international partners regarding all budgetary issues.
I have held the key responsibilities of managing financial transactions, ensuring adherence to financial policies, budgets, and internal controls, and overseeing project budgets that have totaled over $3-10 million annually.
