Professional Experience:
The challenge of adapting to new cultures, new people, and new environments ignites my spirit. Ever since the first Russian exchange student came to my school and family in 1992, it was a signal of the world changing and connecting in a new way. With my world experience, I strive to absorb and transfer skills and spirit to make my small niche a little better. Most in particular engaging in key partners, managing partnerships and achieving strategic goals. If a positive synergy is formed, the strategic programing variables come easy.
I have roughly sixteen years of experience in administrative environments. This ranges from small non- profits; community service organizations; US state government administration; private business; corporate law; and US contractor for the Federal Government. I also have nearly seven years of experience working in Ukraine, from 2006 to 2009 and 2011 to present and most recently in the Federated States of Micronesia. I have served as a Peace Corps Community Development Volunteer in the small Ukrainian town, a US Department of Justice Contractor, and organized networking events for Fryday Odessa.
My work this past decade has provided me with valuable experience for a career in international affairs. It taught me the cultural patience and diplomacy that comes from living in a country were English is not strongly spoken. My work as a US Contractor gave me experience as an office manager and oversight of US Government procurement at an international level. The small projects taught me the technical skills of project design, management, evaluation, grant writing, and negotiation to bring local community stakeholders and resources together. My Masters Degree Project gave me practical experience for conducting a policy analysis. Finally, the events of Euromaidan taught me the value of patience and timed action in a nationwide crisis. In closing, I believe the experience with you will be valuable and motivate me to perform an enthusiastic job.
