Professional Experience:
With my Master of Science, I started my career in 1988 with four years of research and teaching.

Since 1995, owing to my second Master in Development, (major in Management of the Environment with an excellent rating), I have been dedicating myself to support peoples and institutions, in the areas of environmental management, local governance, and sustainable livelihood. My works at international, national and local levels have mostly considered the most vulnerable ones, young people, gender equality, and equity.

Along with my professional itinerary, I have designed, managed and assessed hundreds of projects, programmes, and institution orientations. I am used to adapting them to the evolution of the needs, capacity, and well-being of the targeted communities, to enhance their empowerment. Thousands of people have now access to resources for the improvement of their livelihood and well-being. Besides, hundreds of communities and structures improved their capacity of governance and management of millions of hectares of land, water, and terrestrial, marine and coastal resources and biodiversity in territories, with attention to climate vulnerability and degree of land degradation.

My various experience has exerted my performance in negotiation and collaboration ability. I worked as a freelance consultant, a strategical and technical advisor, a programme national coordinator and an Executive Director in Madagascar (UNDP-GEF, National Office for Environment, NGO SAGE, Swiss Cooperation rural development programme, Association Intercooperation Madagascar and the GEF Small Grants Programme). Lately, I have increased my international track record as a programme officer at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Guinea-Bissau.

I have developed partnerships with local and national civil society and governments, United Nations agencies (UNDP, FAO, WFP, UNICEF, UNEP, UNIDO, UNFPA), and international NGOs (IUCN, WWF, Conservation International, WCS…).
Moreover, I have established credibility vis-à-vis the donors like the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the World Bank, the European Union as well as the bilateral ones (United States Agency for International Development, the Swiss Aid, the Agence Française pour le Développement....).

My management skills, in their institutional, programmatic, human and financial dimension, have been highly appreciated for their efficiency during my successive positions. Moreover, I have taken the leadership for the definition of a shared vision and the mission statement of the structures or those of the NGOs, platforms and networks which emerged with my facilitation.

During 20 years, one of my great passion has been to catalyse the conciliation of the values, principles, and actions of the local, national and international agreements and conventions with actors working in multiple domains. I have developed this proficiency, often as a volunteer representing national platforms,
