Professional Experience:
I have been in different leadership positions, planning and project managements, monitoring and evaluation of population and health programs along with providing leadership, strategic planning and technical support to governments/NGOs/UNs/Institutions on various capacities for more than a decade. I am also instrumental in team management, applying mixed method approach in monitoring and evaluation for different research designs, grants management and organizing training programs/workshops on program evaluations, scientific writing, MIS and impact evaluation activities over the years. I have a long well demonstrated track record of mobilizing, conducting and managing projects for development, policy and program. Earlier, I have also successfully completed the role of convener of Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Management division, IIHMR, New Delhi. So far I have successfully managed and completed more than 10 public health projects, program implementation and evaluation in the different cross-cutting issues which were part of different strategic and policy decisions of the south Asian region.

Under my current role, I am providing leadership, technical and managerial support to different surveys and community mobilization evaluation projects in Population Council. I have also provided technical support to the Ethiopia country office on Mental health and HIV among adolescents an intervention project in Ethiopia. I was also an adviser member of assessment of national health policy draft, facilitated by Brookings India. I am also providing technical support, strategic planning and capacity development to government (NACO, MoHFW, GOI) as National Working Group Member in National Integrated Biological & Behavioral Surveillance (IBBS). Before joining Population Council, I was working as Assistant Professor (Public Health Management) and Convener (M&E and Project Management Division), IIHMR, New Delhi, responsible mainly for project management and M&E, capacity development, teaching and trainings. Previously, I have worked and managed major health and population based large scale surveys (covered all the states/UTs in India) and evaluation based studies in India and also supported organizations in USA, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan and Ethiopia in various capacities (e.g. National Family Health Survey- 3, NFHS-2 Follow up Survey, National Nutrition Survey, Integrated Behavioral and Biological Surveillance, Behavioral Tracking Surveys, Global Adult Tobacco Survey, Mental health Project etc) as well as dealt with strategic planning, preparation of guidelines and protocols. I have been involved and coordinated with many international and national donors and partners (such as MoHFW, UNICEF, WHO, NIH, CDC, BMGF, DFID, NACO, NHSRC, NIMS, DMAI, IIPS, TISS, PHFI, FHI360, Plan International, HIV/AIDS Alliance, Path, Care, Make Me Healthy and Truworth Group etc.). I am a PhD and master in population sciences (specialization in population health and biostatistics). I am a gold medalist during my master degree in statistics (with specialization in monitoring and evaluation). I am a certified leadership program manager. I have visited Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina, USA as a Research Scientist in 2012. I was also selected for the Post-Doctoral Fellow at National University of Singapore for 2013-14. I have the proven experiences, and the ability to work and lead in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team of people in national and international environment. I have worked closely with governments, policy makers, programmers, researchers, consultants and knowledge brokers in national and international cooperation. I have the ability to establish, manage and monitor relationships with diverse stakeholders and funders. I have a good control over my oral communication and writing skills. I have more than forty peer reviewed publications in public health and social issues. My interest areas are Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Strategic Planning, Program and Policy Analysis, Health and Development, Gender, Reproductive and Child Health, Food Security, Population Dynamics and Climate Change Adaptation, HIV/AIDS prevention and Community Mobilization, Survey Research.
