Professional Experience:
An NGO management professional with Masters training in NGO Management (MSC) and Public Health (MPH) with 15+ years of experience managing programs within the international NGO sector and the UN on programs that work in partnership with communities, civil society organizations, faith based organizations, private, government, academic and research organizations managing interventions in the following thematic areas: disaster risk reduction, emergency assistance to refugees, economic empowerment ( VSLA model); Health and HIV/AIDS, children’s rights, natural resource management, livelihoods, disability, and peace building. Excellent knowledge of project cycle management; capacity building and organizational development for civil society organizations; technical assistance for government entities; sub-granting mechanisms for both CSOs and government entities; risk identification, management and mitigation processes; results based / performance based implementation; monitoring and evaluation systems design and implementation; participatory planning and appraisal methodologies; governance and accountability mechanisms; learning generation, documentation and sharing/dissemination process. I have worked with different target populations including women, girls, youth, children, persons living with HIV and most at risk populations in context of HIV/AIDS, unionisable workers in both formal and informal work places, and persons with all forms of disability including physical, visual, hearing impairment and intellectual disability. I have experience in local, national and regional program implementation with the ability to direct large projects, good appreciation of cultural context in service delivery and ability to lead large teams. For 15 years I have worked with grants making programs funded by the following key donors: Global Fund for fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, European Union, USG, and DFID.
