COMMUNICATIONS AND MANAGEMENT INTERN AT FAO LIAISON OFFICE IN BRUSSELS (6 months, 2016-17)
Support to officers in charge of liaison with European Parliament, DG DEVCO, ACP Secretariat, Non-State-Actors, European Economic and Social Committee, and support to Communications officer:
• Assisted in the preparation and communication of events: draft of invitations, stories, briefs, speaking points, and advocacy work
- International Year of Pulses 2016, Launch of the European Parliamentary Alliance “Fight Against Hunger”, (FAO) lunchtime conferences organized at the External Cooperation Info Point of the European Commission’s Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development

• Monitoried EU policy and partner activities and wrote the weekly Newsletter for an FAO audience.
• Represented FAO at policy dialogue meetings, and reported with detailed minutes.
• Supported management (Director): draft of the annual report 2016, scheduling/preparing meetings and missions.

JUNIOR EXPERT IN GENDER MAINSTREAMING AT THE BELGIAN DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (1 month, 2016)
• Evaluated the use of the Gender Budget Scan for interventions in Morocco (2012-2015). Presented arguments in favour of a more effective implementation of the tool.
• Conducted literature review on the state of the fight against violence against women (VAW) in Morocco (legislation in place, actors in the fight against VAW, systems taking care of victims):
o Developed hypotheses and made recommendations to the BTC within the context of a project formulation in Morocco in the sector of gender-based violence.
• Prepared an exhaustive bibliography on the topic of gender-based violence in various African and Latin-American countries.


JUNIOR ANALYST IN ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AT THE BELGIAN DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (2 months, 2015)
