Georgia is now a freelance international trade specialist lawyer and available for international trade and customs projects.
Georgia recent experience at Thomson Reuters, Johannesburg on 1 March 2016- 31 October 2016 as an International Trade Specialist in the Tax and Accounting Team assisting in building legal content for global trade management software for free trade agreements, special programs, import, export, restricted party screening and classification.
She recently worked for Ernst & Young in the Indirect Tax in the Customs and International Trade Practice from September 2012 to February 2016. As a qualified attorney her skills include tax consulting on all issues with regards to importing and exporting especially in providing customs and international trade advice, opinions on research in areas of South African and African Customs laws, rules, regulations and procedures, World Trade Organisation agreements and World Customs Organisations.
Prior to this Georgia has worked at South Africa Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) in Trade and Economic Diplomacy Unit, Frank Biccari Attorneys, the United Nations Headquarter, Department of Economic and Social Affairs in New York and Glyn Marais (SNR Denton) .
