Professional Experience:

For the last 18 years I have been the senior manager of an organization that helps orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya.Have developed programs aimed at empowering children out of poverty. Developed a Saturday Child Development Program that teaches life skills to children.Ran home based care programs including food assistance programs. Have done capacity building with my staff. Ran a micro-enterprise program for widows with children.Developed primary schools and a secondary school. Worked in a children's refugee shelter where I assisted in buying and distributing food. Trained Rwandan social workers on principles of case management to our children. Diagnosed children who were malnourished and made up a therapeutic diet for them. Supervised a dietitian.

Education:

I have a B.A.degree in Education and French. I also have studied International Development at post graduate level in Australia last year. And I have taken graduate courses in Social Work, Public Health and in Counseling. All together I have about 2 years of post graduate school training.
