Professional Experience: |
Clarke brings over 30 years of experience in international education, having served as a senior administrator at Amherst College, World Learning, Dartmouth College, the American Councils for International Education, the American University in Bulgaria, Johns Hopkins’ School for Advanced International Studies, and the Wharton School. She has also participated in international projects for the U.S. Department of State, USAID, and foreign ministries, managing educational initiatives in Eastern Europe and Eurasia.

Clarke has taught courses in critical pedagogy, applied ethics, international development, and cultural studies; her research interests include comparative education policy in transitional states and the political economy of higher education. Clarke holds a BA from Pomona College in Spanish Literature and Chicano Studies, a Master’s in Educational Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in International Education Policy.
