Professional Experience:
Presently working with the Water Services Trust Fund as Programme Officer: Environment. My duties are as follows:
• Support development of both short and long-term investment strategies and plans for the Water Resources investment.
• Develop and promote effective tool/standard systems for investments e.g. unit cost.
• Liaise with and support the implementing partners
• Appraisal and verification of project proposals.
• Monitoring the implementation of all investments in liaison with Water Resources Management Authority to ensure compliance to technical, social, cultural and financial standards.
• Follow up the cross cutting issues
• Spearhead mainstreaming of Environmental across at WSTF
• Prepare timely reports and project briefs for presentation to the stakeholders.
• Provide information required by the Auditor
• WSTF Desk officer for the climate change coordinating WSTF climate change in collaboration with the Climate change council.
• Focal point person for the World Bank’s Kenya Off Grid Solar Access Project
• Perform any other duties as be assigned by the Team Leader from time to time.



Achievements up to date.
• Currently Member and task force member of establishing a climate change investment at the WSTF
• Spearheaded technical assistance to WSTF on feasibility study of Catalysing Low carbon & green technologies for effective water services delivery in Kenya from the Climate Technology Innovation Centre- CTCN Denmark.
• National focal person for the feasibility study on “ Catalysing Low carbon & green technologies for effective water services delivery in Kenya- September 2016 up to date.
• Focal point person for the World Bank’s Kenya Off Grid Solar Access Project
• Involved in the DANIDA Green growth and EU climate proofing programmed design expected to start in July 2016 for Arid and Semi- Arid Lands (ASALs)
• Involved in design of the GOS/GOF financing for water resources and rural programmes at WSTF currently supporting 6 No. counties, ongoing.
• Involved in the upcoming Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) design programme for WSTF and World Bank, February 2015
• Initiated Result Based Reporting for WRUAs between WSTF and WRMA, March 2015.
• Appraisal of WRUA project proposals, presentation to the management investment committee and investment committee
• Heading the Environmental sustainability committee and spearheaded the WSTF environmental sustainability policy formulation and its implementation.
• Marketing of the Water Resources Investment (WRI) funding model through writing articles and participation in workshops and international conferences.
• Supported the review of the Water Resources Investment (WRI) manual to adapt to arid and semi arids lands


Education:
Master of Science in Project Management with the Irish International University. July 2007- January 2008. Post Graduate diploma in Project Management- Cambridge Association of Managers.(CAM)UK 2005-2007. Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management. Egerton University, Njoro.2001.
