Professional Experience:
Serve as a member of the USAID’s Mission Senior leadership Teams and advise Mission leadership, Ambassador, and/or USAID Washington on development, crisis, or conflict issues relevant to USAID. This position manages an office of local and expatriate personnel who are responsible for a range of health programs; reports, monitors, advises, and evaluates USAID health programs and works to modify current programs or design new ones as directed by mission management.
May serve as USAID health representative, establishing and maintaining contacts with representatives of local government and communities, including civil society organizations, implementing partners, and other NGOs and international organizations. Other responsibilities include overseeing administrative and accountability requirements related to USAID office operations, ensuring these are handled following established policies and procedures.
Provided astute Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child health, Community Health and Integrated Health expertise to USAID Nigeria Health, Population and Nutrition (HPN) and HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) Teams to design cross-office collaboration strategies to improve population-wide health outcomes in line with host country priorities and strategies
? Supported the refinement of USAID/Nigeria’s Community Health and Global Health Security program descriptions/scopes of work, including supporting the development of required procurement-related documents and ensuring TB and Global Health Security (GHS) are adequately integrated into the Community Health activity program description.
? Provided interim leadership for the 26-person HPN team in the absence of the Office Director, attended consultative calls, and conducted site monitoring visits to a focus state to assess program implementation
