Professional Experience: |
Between my undergraduate degree and masters I worked in a school with Latino adolescents. I then moved to Paraguay to work as a Peace Corps Volunteer for 27 months. I worked in the rural health and sanitation sector and my main projects were centered around alternative cookstoves, community organization, fundraising, clean water systems, sanitation in the schools and many more. After the Peace Corps I returned to work in schools until I began my Masters in Public Health Program. During the program I worked as a teachers assistant, a research assistant and also worked as an intern performing literature reviews. My responsibilities as a research assistant varied from data analysis, writing manuscripts, managing a federally funded grant, working with vulnerable populations and training healthcare professionals.
