Professional Experience:
Currently working as Regional Head Sales with ICICI Bank.
Driven sales of farm finance through a team of sales officers and branch managers. Ensured completion and process for all sales and finance documentation. Built an expert understanding in products and services offered. Tapped large cooperative farm groups and agricultural traders who market the products to individual farms. Maximized the sales within the region. Analyzed sales opportunities, solved customer problems and designed sales promotions. Handled audit and compliance related issues. Implemented Demand Side Management project for Energy Efficiency Improvement in 3 districts of Madhya Pradesh (India). In Collaboration with Cummins India Ltd., conducted feasibility assessment for implementation of 25 kW Biomass Gasification based rural electrification. Helped in assessment of feasibility of establishing a Pelletiser unit for Biomass cooking stoves in association with BP Energy.
Served as the National Expert on CDM projects finance in the Energy and Agriculture, under the direction of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for the implementation of CDM capacity building and CDM project development to strengthen IPICOL (Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Orissa Limited) structure.
Was instrumental in conceptualization and monitoring the implementation of Marketing Assistance Program which leverages the equity and infrastructure built by BASIX, pan India, to facilitate socially relevant products of other corporate reach the target customers in rural / semi urban areas. Conducted market research and test marketing of solar/LED products and services in rural areas so that companies can go through a smooth learning curve, to be able to offer their products and services in a large scale. Facilitated sales promotion; helped set up distribution model; worked with various companies to design future products and services for the rural market. Worked out customized loan product for their merchants/dealers and developing an energy lending portfolio.
During my last stint, I was leading the Energy Initiative – BASIX Urja. The objective was to fill critical gaps in the energy value chain in order to make solar products and services both affordable and accessible to end-users in India.
