Professional Experience:
2015 - 2016: Consultant in the Transition Support (formerly Fragile States) Department of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Ivory Coast. Assisting the department to deliver its work programme. This involved partnership engagement, communications, writing reports, among other tasks.

2013 - 2014: Consultant in the Development Research Department of the AfDB in Tunisia. Coordinating and producing the AfDB’s flagship publication, the African Development Report 2014: Regional Integration for Inclusive Growth.

2011 - 2013: Economist / Technical Assistant at the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Burundi, through the Overseas Development Institute Fellowship Scheme. Worked on private sector development, regional integration and intellectual property.

2010 - 2011: Field Project Officer with Teach A Man To Fish in Nicaragua. Working onsite with the local partner organisation, Fundación de Educación y Emprendedurismo Rural (Foundation for Rural Education and Entrepreneurship - FEER), to develop the first financially self-sufficient education project in Nicaragua, La Bastilla Agricultural Technical School, and its eight micro/small rural businesses; in addition to assisting FEER with the introduction of a community development programme.

2007 - 2008: Multilingual Recruitment Consultant at Euro London Appointments in the UK. Specialising in multilingual vacancies within financial services and the legal sector.

2005 - 2006: Work Placement (Year Abroad From University) at Solidaridad Internacional-Andalucía in Spain. Working with this major Spanish humanitarian and development NGO at its Andalusian headquarters in Seville.
