Head of Business Development & Team Lead - Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) Project. Summary: To catalyse a vibrant local dairy sector in an inclusive way that improves the livelihoods, productivity, nutrition, and empowerment of 2,000 smallholder dairy farmers and the communities in which they live. Specific responsibilities include: • lead the process of establishing commercial fodder production business models that increases the average yield of hay and silage, • lead the effective and efficient provision of mechanization services to Commercial Fodder Producers (CFPs) and other farmers in Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Adamawa, • Engage with communities, Self Help Groups (SHG), CFPs and processors to determine the needs for their fodder and milk businesses, • Lead Farmer identification, screening, and mobilization processes, • Coordinate the establishment of fodder production demonstration farms and teaching CFPs how to commercially produce and harvest hay and silage, • Working with SHGs to provide training and demonstrating profitability approach, • Manage and supervise the fodder production initiative including compiling weekly and monthly and quarterly reports, • Increase the visibility and presence of Agridrive in Northern Nigeria through business development and growth, • Identify and on-board potential business relationships for Agridrive across various value chains.
