Professional Experience:
Strategic Leader and Team Builder: Frequently organizes diverse teams, including as the former co-chair of the amicus committee for Oregon Justice Resource Center (OJRC), and currently as volunteer Deputy Director for Global Legal Review. With EarthRights International in Thailand, directed training for members of CSOs from ASEAN countries to guide human rights reporting. For the OJRC and the Northwest Constitutional Rights Center, created efficient processes for case intake, investigation, selection and management.

Networking and Collaboration: Able to engage, communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders including lawyers, academics, grassroots activists, and NGOs. At the OJRC, brought together a broad-based group of organizations to challenge the City of Portland’s de facto criminalization of homelessness. Through the Northwest Constitutional Law Center, developed partnerships with service providers and advocacy organizations to deliver “Know Your Rights” trainings on police misconduct.

Legal Research and Communication Expertise: A decade of experience researching and analyzing human rights and civil rights in the context of corporate accountability, police reform, and anti-discrimination. Projects include published reports documenting human rights violations connected to natural resource extraction in Myanmar, policy analysis reports for the National Lawyers Guild on police accountability and police reform and amicus briefs to the Oregon Supreme Court.

Education:
I graduated summa cum laude in 2006 from Loyola Law School, where I served as an editor of the law review and received a post-graduate public interest law fellowship. I graduated in 1999 from the University of Washington with a Master's in Communications, where I served as a teaching assistant and obtained a 4.0 GPA.
